Connect iCount
Connect iCount with an API token to read invoices, receipts, credit notes and customers next to your bank data, and let Financy, ChatGPT and Claude prepare documents you approve.
Connect iCount
iCount is one of the business systems you can connect to Financy, next to Invoice4U, Morning and SUMIT. Once connected, Financy reads your invoicing documents and customers, puts them next to the banks and cards you already linked, and can prepare new documents for you to approve.
Available on Starter, Pro and Ultra. iCount is in beta.
What Financy reads
| Invoices | Open, overdue, partly paid and paid tax invoices |
| Proformas | Included in receivables (who still owes you) |
| Other documents | Receipts, invoice-receipts, credit notes |
| Customers | Name and contact details of each counterparty |
| Receivables | Who owes you, how much, and since when |
Data refreshes from iCount on a schedule (about every hour), plus a full rescan weekly. Because Financy also sees your bank transactions, it can tell you which open invoices look paid: a matching transfer already arrived.
Connect
- Sign in to iCount.
- Open System → Settings → Automation, on the API tokens tab.
- Create a new token with no expiry.
- In Financy go to Accounts → Business systems (חשבונות ← מערכות עסקיות). iCount is listed under Invoicing (חשבוניות).
- Next to iCount click Connect (חיבור) and paste the API token on the secure page.
The token acts with the permissions of the iCount user who created it. Financy only reads your documents and customers, and issues only the documents you approve.⚠️ A token created with an expiry stops working when it expires, and iCount will then need to be reconnected.
Financy verifies the token, stores it in an encrypted vault and runs the first sync. The token never passes through a chat.
When the token stops working, the row shows Reconnect (חיבור מחדש). Click it and paste a new token. Financy re-authenticates the same integration and keeps the data already read.
Drafts and approval
Financy can prepare documents in iCount:
- Receipt
- Tax invoice
- Invoice-receipt
- Credit note
- New customer
A prepared document is a draft. It is issued in iCount only after you open it in Financy and click Approve and issue (אישור והנפקה). This is true whether the draft came from the Financy agent, an automation, ChatGPT, Claude or the Business systems API.
Automations can prepare a recurring tax invoice for your approval. They never issue documents and never prepare receipts.
Access from external AI apps
Settings → MCP connection → Access from external AI apps (הגדרות ← חיבור ל-MCP ← גישה מאפליקציות AI חיצוניות) controls what ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients can do with iCount: Off (כבוי), Read only (קריאה בלבד, the default on connect) or Full access (גישה מלאה). It works exactly as for Invoice4U; see Connect Invoice4U for the tiers, the yearly renewal and the AI activity log.
A document issued by mistake can only be cancelled with a credit note, because it is a legally binding tax document.
Read it through the API
With the same API credentials you use for bank data, iCount's documents, customers and receivables are under https://api.open-finance.ai/integrations. See Business systems API.
Disconnect
On the iCount row open the ⋯ menu, choose Disconnect (ניתוק) and confirm. The token is deleted immediately and Financy stops reading iCount. The data disappears from Financy right away, and the copy kept on our side is deleted within seven days. Nothing changes in iCount itself. You can also revoke the token in iCount.
Must-know
| Plan | Starter (one iCount account), Pro (up to 5) or Ultra (up to 20) |
| Credentials | One API token, with no expiry |
| Approval | Drafts are issued only after you approve in Financy, unless you turned on Full access for AI apps |
| "Looks paid" | A matching bank transfer, not a status change in iCount |
| Freshness | About hourly, not real time |
| Customers | Financy never messages your customers |
Troubleshooting
"The provider did not accept this key" (הספק לא קיבל את המפתח הזה): The token was mistyped, revoked or expired. Create a new token with no expiry and connect again.
Stopped updating: The token may have expired or been revoked in iCount. Create a new one and click Reconnect (חיבור מחדש) on the iCount row.
"Available on the Starter plan and above" (זמין בתוכנית Starter ומעלה): Click Upgrade (שדרוג) next to it.
A draft didn't issue: Drafts wait for your approval. Open the approval link from the chat and click Approve and issue.
