Connect SAP Business One
Connect SAP Business One through its Service Layer, hosted by your SAP partner or on your own server, to read invoices, customers, suppliers, supplier invoices, the ledger by month, orders and inventory next to your bank data.
Connect SAP Business One
SAP Business One is an ERP in Financy: besides the invoices it issues, it brings what you owe suppliers, your ledger, open orders and stock. Financy reads it through SAP's Service Layer, whether your SAP partner hosts it in their cloud or it runs on your own server, and puts it next to the banks and cards you already linked. Financy never writes anything to SAP Business One.
Available on Pro and Ultra. SAP Business One is in beta.
What Financy reads
| Sales documents | A/R invoices and credit memos |
| Customers | Name and tax ID of each customer business partner |
| Receivables | Who owes you, how much, and since when (invoices SAP has not marked paid) |
| Suppliers | Name and tax ID of each supplier business partner |
| Supplier invoices | A/P invoices and credit memos, and what was paid against them |
| Payables | Who you owe, how much, and since when |
| Ledger | Each account's debits, credits and closing balance by month |
| Orders | Sales orders and purchase orders |
| Inventory | Stock on hand per item and warehouse, and its value at average cost |
Data refreshes from SAP Business One about every hour, plus a full rescan weekly.
Before you connect
Financy reaches the Service Layer over the internet, from one fixed address that the connect page shows. Your SAP partner or IT team needs to:
- Make the Service Layer reachable over HTTPS, on port 50000 (SAP's default) or 443, at a public server name (not an IP address).
- Let Financy's address through the firewall.
- Create a SAP Business One user for the connection, with read-only access to the company details, currencies, A/R and A/P invoices and credit memos, sales and purchase orders, business partners, items and warehouses, the chart of accounts and journal entries, and a strong password.
If the server uses SAP's default self-signed certificate, that's fine: Financy trusts the certificate the server presents when you first connect, and only that one. If the certificate is replaced later, Financy stops reading and asks you to reconnect, which trusts the new one. A publicly issued certificate is always trusted as is. One that is expired, or served without its intermediate certificate, is refused: ask your IT team to fix it.
Connect
- In Financy go to Accounts → Business systems (חשבונות ← מערכות עסקיות). SAP Business One is listed under ERP systems (מערכות ERP).
- Next to SAP Business One click Connect (חיבור) and choose where it runs: in your SAP partner's cloud, or on your own server.
- On the secure page enter the Service Layer URL (for example
https://your-server:50000/b1s/v1), the company database (as the Choose Company screen shows it), and the user's username and password.
Financy signs in, stores the details in an encrypted vault and runs the first sync. They never pass through a chat.
How Financy reads your books
- Paid invoices: an invoice counts as paid once SAP's paid-to-date covers its total. An invoice SAP closed without full payment (by a credit memo, or by hand) is no longer owed.
- Cancelled documents: a cancelled invoice shows as cancelled; SAP's cancellation document itself is not read.
- Ledger: summed from journal entries by month, with each month's closing balance worked back from the account's balance today.
- Not read yet: incoming payments as separate receipts, and down-payment invoices.
Read only
Financy reads SAP Business One and never writes to it. It does not issue documents or create business partners there. To issue invoices and receipts through Financy (as drafts you approve), connect an invoicing system such as Invoice4U or Morning.
Access from external AI apps
Settings → MCP connection → Access from external AI apps (הגדרות ← חיבור ל-MCP ← גישה מאפליקציות AI חיצוניות) decides whether ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients can read SAP Business One data: Off (כבוי) or Read only (קריאה בלבד, the default on connect). The setting is valid for one year.
Read it through the API
With the same API credentials you use for bank data, SAP Business One's documents, customers, receivables, payables, suppliers, supplier invoices, ledger, orders and inventory are under https://api.open-finance.ai/integrations. See Business systems API.
Disconnect
On the SAP Business One row open the ⋯ menu, choose Disconnect (ניתוק) and confirm. The password is deleted immediately and Financy stops reading SAP Business One. The data disappears from Financy right away, and the copy kept on our side is deleted within seven days. Nothing changes in SAP Business One itself. To shut Financy out on your side too, remove the connection user or the firewall rule.
Must-know
| Plan | Pro (up to 5 SAP Business One companies) or Ultra (up to 20) |
| Credentials | Service Layer URL, company database, username and password |
| Writes | None: Financy reads SAP Business One only |
| Freshness | About hourly, not real time |
| Amounts | In the document's currency; the ledger and inventory in the company's own currency |
Troubleshooting
"Financy could not reach the server" (Financy לא הצליח להגיע לשרת): The Service Layer isn't reachable from the internet on the port in the URL, or the firewall doesn't let Financy's address in. Ask your SAP partner or IT team to check both.
"No Service Layer answered at that address" (לא נמצא Service Layer בכתובת הזו): The URL doesn't lead to a Service Layer. Copy it again; it usually ends in /b1s/v1.
"SAP Business One did not accept the sign-in" (SAP Business One לא קיבלה את פרטי הכניסה): Check the company database name, the username and the password.
"The Service Layer server's HTTPS certificate changed" (תעודת ה-HTTPS של שרת ה-Service Layer השתנתה): If your IT team replaced the certificate, reconnect (Reconnect, חיבור מחדש) and Financy will trust the new one.
"Available on the Pro plan and above" (זמין בתוכנית Pro ומעלה): SAP Business One needs Pro or above. Click Upgrade (שדרוג) next to it.
